A gentle breeze blows throw ever green trees lining our yard, and I close my eyes and soak in the sun’s rays. It’s been a long day at work, and there’s still so much to do at home. I open my eyes to see the encroaching and pervasive honey suckle, and I wish we could just cut it down now. However, that’s not today’s project, and it’s not even next week’s project. It is a project though, and it will have its day.
Steve and I are building a family and life on this beautiful 5-acre plot we purchased several years ago. Due to stupid choices (buying this home before our previous house sold) and smart ones (Steve starting the nursing program), we fell behind in maintaining our property. We have finally sold our previous home, and Steve has thankfully graduated. Now we can begin to focus on building the life and the home we want to live. This website chronicles that for us, and who knows, maybe someday we’ll have chicken eggs or other farm grown goodness to sell.
